First, determine how long you are going to need the boiler for and ask if the
prices are a bit cheaper the longer you rent. Some companies may only have term rentals and
contracts.
You want to have a checklist of everything that is included in your rental.
You want to make sure that your list includes a 100% Fully Inspected Boiler, Burner with Low NOx, a
Burner Control Center, Dual Lines, Feed Water System, Electrical Switch Gear, Fuel Storage (Very
Important), Outside Connections, a Chemical Feed System and a Blowdown Separator.
The next step is to get pricing. You want to get the most from the money you
spend. To save a lot of money make sure that these are included in the price, the rental of the
unit, delivery of the unit, pick up of the unit, a technician who will come out and hook up the
unit as well. Keep in mind that some companies will charge you extra for delivery and pick
up.
Some companies may try to convince you to keep the unit longer than you need
to but they want to make money and you are trying to save money. Keep that in mind even if the
price seems to good to be true. Make sure that you ask the rental company what you will need to
have on site to make the installation go smooth. The last thing you want is for the rental to get
there and there is something missing.
