Step Three:
Now that the pool is leaf scooped, vacuumed, chemicals and
balanced, pool is shocked you will want to backwash the swimming pool filter and empty the
skimmer baskets. If you have a D.E. filter make sure you add the D.E. to the skimmer after you
backwash the filter.
Step Four:
You will want to repeat this step every 6 hours until the
pool water is clear.
The most important thing in getting a green or cloudy
swimming pool clear again is to make sure that the filter is always working the best that it
can, and the way to make sure this happens is to backwash the filter every 6 hours until the
pool water is clear. Now you may think you don’t need to do it this often but you really do,
even if you still have remarkably well water pressure coming from the returns you will still
want to back wash the filter that many times.
The last important thing is to add some pool shock every time
you backwash the filter. This will help to keep destroying the algae.
